With a deep desire for their young people to serve others, BCF alumni Ty ('05) and Liz ('06) Greene brought a youth group to The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville, Fl., to do mission work. "It is a wonderful opportunity for Ty and me to teach our youth service," stated Liz, "while giving back to the school that trained us to do the same."

Staying in Lakeside Hall dorm, the group of twelve from Faith Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Fl., where Ty serves as youth minister, came June 25 and left on June 27. Once they arrived on campus, they quickly divided up into two separate groups to accomplish the assigned tasks. Half of the students went with Liz to work at My Father's Closet, a local non-profit organization, while the other half stayed on campus and painted Napier Hall, one of the girls' dormitories.

When asked about their experience, the students beamed, "It's fun to help others and grow together in our friendships. We came together to do ministry!"

"In our quiet time this morning we read, '...in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interest of others' (Philippians 2:3-4, NKJV)," stated Ty. "What a picture of a servant! These verses clearly display the heart and passion of our students. It has been an honor to minister to those who have ministered to Liz and me for the past eight years. To God be the Glory."
