BCF TO HOST U.S. ARMY FIELD BAND CONCERT

Preparations are underway at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) for the United States Army Field Band and Soldiers Chorus performance Sunday, Nov. 7 at 3 p.m. in the Assembly Center.

The U.S. Army Field Band is the official touring musical representative of the U.S. Army. The band is under the operational command of the Army's Chief of Public Affairs at the Pentagon. Colonel Thomas H. Palmatier of Ballston Spa, N.Y. is the band's present commander and conductor. He is the ninth director in the Field Band's history.

The Soldiers' Chorus, the vocal component of the Field Band, consists of 29 highly trained and talented vocalists. Packed with patriotism and American spirit, the Field Band and Chorus performance is designed to appeal to all audiences, offering classical, semi-classical and popular selections, choral arrangements, novelty numbers and crowd-pleasing military marches.
