Adjunct Professor Judy Patrick teaches the Women's Studies courses at The Baptist College of Florida.

Recognized for having an eclectic ministry curriculum with practical application, The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville, Fla., will be offering four classes in Women's Studies, taught by Adjunct Professor Judy Patrick. The Women's Study courses, designed to equip leaders and strengthen women's ministries, can be taken individually or as part of a special track in the Ministry or Missions degree programs.

Patrick, who will be teaching "Perspectives on Women's Studies and Ministry" in the Fall of 2010, utilizes the advanced tools found in BCF's online courses, thereby making the classes available to anyone in the world with internet capabilities. "The role of women, the rationale for having a women's ministry in the church, and how to design a women's ministry are just a few topics considered in the course," stated Patrick, who mentioned that men in ministry could also benefit from the course.

Patrick takes joy in teaching the classes, not letting the online format of the class prevent her from connecting with her students. "Whether I am in the classroom or teaching online, my desire is to get to know my students well and to recognize them as people of worth," said Patrick. "I see my students as people with needs, desires, and feelings beyond academics. My first desire is to minister to my students, then to teach."
