The eagle sign on Solomon Hall, donated by BCF graduates.

The Graceville campus of The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) was recently enhanced with a BCF Eagle sign placed on the front of Solomon Hall and several BCF banners displayed on the lamp posts. The sign was donated by the fall 2010 graduates highlighting the eagle mascot whose name was founded on the scripture verse found in Isaiah 40:31, which says: "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up on wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

Each semester, prospective graduates meet with the BCF Registrar and Graduation Advisor Stephanie Orr to determine if they are eligible to graduate and decide what they would like to give back to the campus. This year the fall 2010 class collectively decided to give the college a little extra ornamentation. "The class wanted to contribute something that was permanent and visible," said Orr. "They also sought to reflect the growth of the school and its shift towards a modern, branded mascot which is why they chose to use the BCF Eagle."
