Guitarist Nicholas Ciraldo to perform at The Baptist College of Florida on March 17 at 7 p.m. in the R.G. Lee Chapel.

The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) welcomes renowned guitarist Nicholas Ciraldo to the Graceville campus March 17 for a special concert at 7 p.m. in the R.G. Lee Chapel.

Ciraldo is an Assistant Professor of Guitar at The University of Southern Mississippi. He is the co-founder of the Quadrivium Guitar Quartet and performs regularly with his wife, flutist Rachel Taratoot Ciraldo, in the Ciraldo Duo. His recent chamber performance venues include the Hampden-Sydney Music Festival, the Simsbury Chamber Music Festival, and the National Flute Association.

Ciraldo has performed as an artist-in-residence with the Quadrivium Guitar Quartet throughout rural Kentucky for New Performing Arts, the Ciraldo Duo for the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, and for the Austin Classical Guitar Society. He is the founder of the Hammer/Nail Project, a program that links student composers and guitarist and shows how to write for the guitar in the most idiomatic way possible.

Ciraldo received his Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University and earned a Master's of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music. He completed a Doctorate degree in Musical Arts from the University of Texas at Austin where he received the Freeman Fellowship.
