Dr. and Mrs. Kinchen host a time of food and fellowship for the BUDD Builders in appreciation for all their hard work.

The Missouri based BUDD Builders (Building Under Divine Direction) have once again stationed their hard-working volunteer group on the Graceville campus of The Baptist College of Florida (BCF). Arriving shortly after the Christmas holidays, the group went to work on the modular buildings located near Heritage Village converting them into large classroom spaces and faculty offices.

Since 2006, the group has been coming to BCF to assist with multiple building projects including the construction of the first Shepherd's Cottage, the relocation of the Graceville Train Depot which now serves as the administration building, and other renovations in the business office, president's conference room, prayer chapel, and student center. The Missouri volunteers' handiwork and evidence of their hard work can been seen on any given day throughout the BCF campus.

The Builders, who sacrificially give of their time and talent, consist of retired electricians, lawyers, military members, teachers, and numerous other vocations. Many travel with their wives who use their time in Graceville to quilt and sew for nearby Crisis Pregnancy Centers, Battered Women's Centers, Nursing Homes and the Florida Baptist Children's Home.

Their efforts and existence can also be seen throughout the community as they actively participate in local church congregations working with children and teens in the area. They also enjoy spending time with BCF President Thomas A. Kinchen and First Lady Ruth Ann. Each year, Mrs. Kinchen takes the group of ladies for day trips to local areas of interest such as Pier Park, Destin and various antique and quilt shops. After their busy work days are finished, many of them gather for a time of prayer and worship as well as rest and relaxation in the old log cabin.
