BCF Graduate Rob Lightsey leads the opening prayer at the Talladega race in Talladega, Alabama.

As students of The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) graduate and launch out into the world, most of them immediately become involved in ministry and mission opportunities. Some will continue their education while others become pastors, elementary teachers, counselors, music ministers, worship leaders, teachers, or business leaders, but without exception graduates leave BCF with a passion to reach the lost.

Two such graduates with unique ministry opportunities are Rob Lightsey and Micah Harbison. Rob Lightsey, graduating class of 1998, had the honor of leading the opening prayer at the Talladega race in Talladega, Ala., in May. Working closely with the Alabama Raceway Ministries (ARM), Lightsey held worship services and conducted evangelism events within the racing and motor sports communities. Alabama Raceway Ministries was founded over 25 years ago by Frank and Betty Stark and currently has eight ministry sites at the Talladega Superspeedway. Rob Lightsey was a site coordinator for the Champions Corner Campground ministry where he led the worship music.

Micah Harbison, class of 2006, participated in a mission trip titled "Bridging the Gap 2012 UK Outreach" during the 2012 Olympics held August 3-14. Harbison traveled with a group called Lay Witnesses for Christ International based in Texas with people from all over the world. He led worship for his team in the mornings, preached, and traveled throughout London during the day doing one-on-one evangelism in the streets. They held several evangelistic services, crusades, and concerts simultaneously for 16 nights all across London. These events were called, "Stars For Christ," and featured former and current Olympians.
