BCF Music and Worship Division performs "Looking for Christmas."

The Music and Worship Division at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) hosted its annual Christmas Festival of Music on Nov. 30 and Dec 1. The guitar ensemble, bell ringers, women's ensemble, male chorale, college singers, college winds, the BCF College Choir, and the drama team made the program truly unforgettable.

This year's performance was certainly unique as the Music and Worship Division performed an original drama entitled "Looking for Christmas." The musical drama, written by BCF students Becca Pitts and Megan Powers, centered on a family that had moved from Chicago to Florida who longed for the white Christmas they were accustomed to. As their new Christian neighbors extended some warm hospitality and the various musical groups performed, each member of the family eventually learned the true meaning of Christmas--Jesus Christ the Savior was born!

A variety of musical styles were showcased as performers and instrumentalists delighted audiences with stirring renditions of "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem," "Once in Royal David's City," "O Come, O Come Emmanuel," and a Spanish piece titled "A la Media Noche." Adding to the excitement each evening, the program concluded with the congregation joining the choir and winds to sing the "Hallelujah Chorus" and "Forever King."
