BCF students registered messengers, visitors, and exhibitors at the Florida Baptist State Convention.

For the fourth year in a row, The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) students were asked to serve at the registration booth for the Florida Baptist State Convention, held this year in Orlando, Fla., on November 12-13.

As Florida Baptist messengers, visitors, and exhibitors filled the registration area for the convention, they were greeted with a warm BCF smile and welcome. Students saw many familiar faces--many of which have preached in the R.G. Lee Chapel on the BCF campus. Some of the familiar faces were family and friends from students' home churches. BCF students also made many new friends among churches from all over the state. Over 1,000 participants were registered and attended the Florida Baptist State Convention. Students working at the registration table stated that it was the perfect opportunity to express gratitude and appreciation for how Florida Baptists support the college as well as share with them the ways God continues to work at BCF.

During the Tuesday morning session, messengers and visitors were blessed as the BCF College Choir led the praise and worship time. Under the direction of BCF Music and Worship Division Chair Bill Davis, members of the College Choir passionately sang, "If our God is for us, then who could ever stop us?" which rang throughout the pews and rafters of the First Baptist Church of Orlando. The morning session also included a moving video report from BCF President Thomas A. Kinchen showcasing the many ways that BCF utilizes Cooperative Program funds and the prayer support from Florida Baptists to equip students for ministry and to impact the world.

The red shirts worn by BCF students could easily be seen throughout the convention area as students sought to help and serve those attending. Each student volunteering represented a life committed to following Christ and spreading the Gospel. Students pursuing degrees in pastoral ministries, elementary education, missions, music and worship, leadership, youth ministry, Christian counseling, education, business, and English represented The Baptist College of Florida at the Florida Baptist State Convention. While the programs of study are diverse, BCF students share a common Biblical foundation and desire to take part in ministry and service wherever and whenever they are called upon.
