Holiday Heritage guests enjoy the sweet aroma of the sugar cane as it is being prepared to cook up for syrup.

Guests began arriving at 10 a.m. ushering in the holiday season during The Baptist College of Florida's (BCF) annual Heritage Festival held on Friday, November 16. Hearts were warmed by the fellowship and the sunshine as visitors strolled through Heritage Village enjoying the old-fashioned surroundings and watching the artisans at work. The historic buildings were filled with treasures as craft vendors displayed their handiwork and creative skills. From intricately designed jewelry, antique cars, fast moving trains, beautiful paintings, stone carvings, handmade soap and quilts, to the sweet, sweet smell of cane syrup brewing there was something for everyone.

Center stage entertainment included talented soloists and guest musicians as well as the BCF faculty, staff, and students providing special musical arrangements and Christmas carolers throughout the afternoon adding to the festive ambiance of the traditional holiday gathering. The event was made complete with homemade chili, ham biscuits, and the delicious goodies baked by the faculty wives to raise money for the scholarship fund.
