BCF Music and Worship Division leads during 2011 Good Friday Service.

Please join the faculty, students and staff at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville at 10:00 a.m. CST in the R. G. Lee Chapel as they reflect and celebrate Easter with special services during Holy Week and Easter Monday. Chapel speakers will include the Dean of Students Roger Richards on April 2, Lead Strategist for the Florida Baptist Convention Bob Bumgarner on April 3, and Florida Baptist Convention Executive Director-Treasurer John Sullivan on April 4.

A unique Maundy Thursday service is planned for April 5th featuring the BCF Music and Drama Class, Assistant Professor of New Testament and Greek Mark Long and Graduate Division Chair Ed Scott. Drama participants will join Long at the Seder table while Scott provides an explanation to the relevance of the Jewish celebration for Christians. Communion will be served at the service.

The Good Friday service on April 6th will include a reenactment of the historic and meaningful events from the last supper leading up to the death of Jesus on the cross. There will be dramatic presentations from representatives throughout the campus including students, faculty, staff, and senior administrators.

Easter Monday service, April 9, will be a heart rendering musical presentation of the resurrection of Christ and words from President Thomas A. Kinchen. This powerful celebration of Easter, remembering the sacrifice and rejoicing in the triumph, will include a song written by BCF student Rhoda Commerford performed by the BCF Music and Worship Division.

For more information about the special Easter services call 800-328-2660 ext. 460.
