Tommy Green to Speak in Chapel

Tommy Green, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Brandon, Fla., is scheduled to be the guest speaker at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville March 12-14 beginning at 10 a.m. CST. A friend to BCF, Green has served as the Senior Pastor at FBC Brandon since April 1996. Since that time, the church has grown from 2700 to over 5000 members under his Godly visionary leadership. FBC Brandon was recognized by the Billy Graham School of Missions and Evangelism of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary as the Most Comprehensive Ministry Program in the Southern Baptist Convention in 2003. In addition to over 25 years of pastoral experience, Green has served in senior denominational leadership positions, including President of the Florida Baptist Convention from 2002 to 2004, member of the board of trustees of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary from 2002 to the present, and member of the State Board of Missions of the Florida Baptist Convention from 1999 to the present. Green holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., and a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Theology from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA.
