BCF graduate and missionary Lynn Kennedy who serves as the coordinator of missions and operations for Shattering Darkness, invited BCF graduate and former trustee Richie Allen of LINC-UP Missions to bring the pastor training program that he coordinates in Brazil, partnering with The Baptist College of Florida (BCF), to Burkina Faso, Africa.

On June 20 after extensive prayer and preparation, Allen arrived in Burkina Faso with BCF Professor David Coggins to reach out to a people group hungry for Bible training. The three BCF alumni ministered to 50 pastors and church leaders in Burkina Faso who represented five unreached people groups. There were seven different languages spoken in that area and at times the message presented was translated into French and a common tribal language. Some of those who attended travelled over 100 miles to participate in the Bible interpretation seminar. "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I am not going to miss it," was the response Allen heard from several of these young believers.

"Once again, we are reminded of the hunger that many people have for the word of the Lord," stated Allen. "We are also aware of the great privilege that we have in equipping them to reach their world for Christ."

In addition to Africa, BCF alumni and students are serving literally all over the world this summer. One group went to Cuba, one to Honduras, several to Haiti and South America. For more information on missions opportunities through BCF, contact 850-263-3261 ext. 460.
