BCF students to observe Constitution Day.

The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville will be celebrating the 226th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution which was signed on September 17, 1787 prior to its ratification by the states. Constitution Day is observed at BCF as a time of remembrance and tribute to the men and women who made such tremendous sacrifices for the cause of freedom and uniting our nation. Each year, The Baptist College of Florida highlights the accomplishments of the past and incorporates those lessons learned into making a difference in the future.

On September 17, in commemoration of Constitution Day, a replica of the original Constitutional document and the Bill of Rights will be on display in the common area of the BCF Student Center. There will also be free resources available to remind students and guest about our nation's heritage and encourage them to become actively involved in the voting process.

Jackson County Assistant Supervisor of Elections Vicki Farris will also be on campus holding a voter registration opportunity on September 16th-17th encouraging students to register to vote. "It is not only our right to vote; it is our responsibility," remarked BCF Dean of Students Roger Richards on the importance of registering to vote.
