BCF President Thomas A. Kinchen welcomes the first grad students to the Master of Arts in Music and Worship Leadership program.

The spring semester ushered in a new era at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville as two exciting new degree programs were added to the college catalog: Master of Arts in Music and Worship Leadership and Bachelor of Arts in Missions with a Concentration in Aviation.

BCF President Thomas A. Kinchen welcomed and encouraged the six graduate students enrolled in the new Master of Arts in Music and Worship Leadership degree program. According to BCF Music and Worship Division Chair Bill Davis, the new 30 semester hour graduate degree is a strong research degree designed to equip and prepare vocational worship pastors, church musicians, and other music professionals in developing the advanced music and worship skills necessary in their fields. This is the second graduate level degree program established at BCF with a blended, "ministry friendly" format.

In addition to Kinchen greeting the new grad students on their first day of class, he also met with a group of students interested in the new Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Missions with a Concentration in Aviation. Kinchen shared with the group how the new degree is designed to integrate practical missions education with certified flight training in order to equip vocational missionaries, pastors, and other church leaders to be effective in their ministries and independent in their travel. The BA in Missions with a Concentration in Aviation contains 122 semester hours which includes the general education foundation, Biblical/theological foundation, missions major core, and aviation concentration.

For more information on these and other degree programs offered at The Baptist College of Florida, please call (800) 328-2660 ext. 460 or access the program listings located on the website at baptistcollege.edu.
