BCF to host Duo 220, Adam Larison and Andrew Stroud.

The Music and Worship Division of The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville is pleased to announce a guitar concert scheduled for February 20 at 6:00 p.m. CST in the R.G. Lee Chapel. The concert will feature Duo 220, an extremely talented pair of young musicians whose accomplishments are quickly mounting.

Adam Larison and Andrew Stroud joined their musical talent together to create Duo 220 in 2007 while attending Florida State University (FSU). Throughout the duo’s studies, they trained under some of the most talented guitar aficionados, including Professor Bruce Holzman and Sérgio Assad of the Assad Duo. Since their formation in 2007, Duo 220 has performed in venues all over America and the United Kingdom, including the Sierra Nevada Guitar Society (Reno, NV), the Corsham Arts Festival (Corsham, UK), and Westminster University (London, UK). This ensemble’s performances have been met with the highest acclaim, which speaks volumes about their extraordinary technique and musicianship.

According to the musicians’ website, “Duo 220 strives to create programs that are new, fresh and accessible through a mixture of both standards and lesser-known works in the guitar duo repertoire, inventive and effective transcriptions, and newly commissioned works by young composers, with an emphasis on reaching as broad an audience as possible.”

The guitar concert is sure to be a treat for all ages, providing entertainment from the highly qualified Duo 220. For more information, call 850-263-3261 ext. 427. To learn more about Duo 220 and to sample some of their music, visit their website at www.guitarduo220.com/home.
