BCF Dean of Faculty and Chair of the Theology Division Robin Jumper preached in the R. G. Lee Chapel on the student’s first day back after the Christmas break.

The pews in the R.G. Lee Chapel at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville were filled on January 20 as new and returning students gathered together for worship after the long Christmas break. Students were welcomed back by Senior Vice President R. C. Hammack as he introduced the chapel speaker, BCF’s Dean of Faculty and Chair of the Theology Division Robin Jumper.

Jumper’s message encouraged both the new and returning students affirming that “The Lord is ready and able to lead you where you’ve not been before.” Each semester brings many changes, opportunities, and challenges for students; Jumper’s message from Joshua 3 was a wonderful reminder of God’s provision and faithfulness.

A chapel favorite, BCF Senior Corey Blais described Jumper as “E.F.G. - An Excellent preacher, Fantastic mentor, and a Gifted professor.” Blais commented on the BCF Facebook page, “I’m so thankful for Dr. Robin Jumper and the investment that he has made in so many lives; especially mine!”

The Spring 2014 semester includes approximately 80 new students to the college, some taking classes on the campus in Graceville and others taking classes online or at one of the five distance sites. New student Amber Hudson transferred from Troy University to finish her degree in Elementary Education at BCF. When asked why she chose to attend BCF, she said she had heard great things about the college from professors and students that have been a part of her church in Elba, Alabama. Amber said that this semester she is really excited because she is taking Bible classes which are part of her degree requirements.

Students attending The Baptist College of Florida have many options for degrees, including elementary education, ministry, music, contemporary worship, business leadership, Christian counseling, missions, history and social studies, English, and aviation.
