BCF College Singers recently performed in the R. G. Lee Chapel.

After a whirlwind weekend tour, The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) College Singers, an A Cappella mixed group of singers of the Music and Worship Division, returned home Monday, April 7, around 4:30 p.m. filled with overwhelming excitement. The College Singers performed three concerts while on tour to include Fellowship Baptist Church in Ocala on Sunday morning, First Baptist Church in Belleview on Sunday evening, and then at the “Master Class” led by Russell Robinson, head of the Music Education Department at the University of Florida in Gainesville, on Monday morning. The audience of the “Master Class” comprised several doctoral music students as well as some graduate students.

BCF Music Professor Bill Knowles, director of the College Singers, commented to the group during rehearsal after they returned, “I believe that you sounded better than you have ever sounded this past weekend.” Knowles also remarked that the Singers represented the love of Christ to everyone they came in contact with and that Jesus Christ alone was praised and honored.

The BCF Music and Worship Division Spring Concert will be held on May 8 at 7:00 p.m. where one of the pieces that the College Singers performed on tour, “Poor Wayfarin’ Stranger” arranged by Craig Zammer, will be featured combining the Women’s Ensemble, Male Chorale and College Singers. Make plans now to attend this exciting night of worship highlighting all of the musical groups on the BCF campus.
