Seven students from The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) departed from the campus in Graceville early Sunday, February 23, in order to participate in Student Sunday, an annual event sponsored by participating Alabama Baptist Associations and Samford University in Birmingham.

This marks the third year that BCF students have been invited to participate in Student Sunday at churches in the East Liberty Baptist Association. Student Sunday provides a unique opportunity for students to gain preaching experience as well as represent the college. This year, participants from The Baptist College of Florida were Jamie Settle, Jason Tschudi, Chris Rivers, Donald Files, Brad Ward, Justin Grack, and Marvin Walker. Joining BCF students in preaching in the East Liberty Baptist Association were students from Samford University and Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama.

The BCF preachers gathered around 5:00 a.m. and travelled 156 miles to the Associational Office in LaFayette, Alabama, where they were able to enjoy a time of fellowship and breakfast before being picked up by a staff member from the church where they would be preaching. After their preaching responsibilities, the students were provided lunch before returning to the Associational Office and traveling back to the Graceville campus Sunday afternoon.

Several churches in the association specifically requested BCF students to preach and share with their congregations as part of the Student Sunday program.
