The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville will host the 13th Annual Prayer Conference on September 14-16, in the R.G. Lee Chapel. Returning speakers Wayne Barber and Rick Shepherd will be leading the conference with strong emphasis on the power and necessity of prayer.

Wayne Barber and Rick Shepherd are returning for their 13th consecutive year as joint presenters at the BCF Annual Prayer Conference. Barber is the senior pastor of Woodland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN and the founder and president of Living Grace Ministries. Shepherd is the Lead Team Strategist for the Prayer/Spiritual Awakening Team of the Florida Baptist State Convention. The two men served together on staff at Woodland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN from 1983 to 1999. Their familiarity with each other and the topic at hand is evident in their exposition and entertaining delivery each year.

In addition to the three day prayer focus during chapel, there will be events held on-campus coordinated by the Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) to further facilitate the importance of prayer. Throughout each day, there will be opportunities for students and faculty to sign up to pray during a twelve hour period. On Tuesday evening, August 15, at 7:00 p.m. (CST), students are invited to gather in the little prayer chapel for a time of worship and fellowship, followed by a devotional thought from Barber and Shepherd.

The Annual Prayer Conference is the first seminar held on the BCF campus during the fall semester reminding faculty and students of the power and importance of prayer. To obtain more information on chapel services or special events, contact 800.328.2660 or visit the website at www.baptistcollege.edu.
