BCF Enrollment Management and Marketing Director Sandra Richards finally got to sing with the Women’s Ensemble, not really!

Another exciting Preview Day was held at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville with over 150 prospective students and guests breaking previous records for attendance. The semi-annual open house highlights campus life and provides visitors with an opportunity to meet current students, faculty and staff.

Registration began at 9:00 a.m. in the BCF Wellness Center where prospective students received bags filled with informational brochures and were able to explore various displays set up by the faculty, staff, and students. Each exhibit provided information on the various degree options available, campus activities, mission opportunities, intramural sports, campus ministries, financial aid, computer access, and support resources for students while attending BCF. An active photo booth was also available to those who wanted to remember the day with a picture of them with their friends or family members.

Guests were invited to select an informational class to attend on music and worship, theology and missions, Christian counseling, or teacher education so that they could catch a glimpse of what to expect if they decided to pursue that area as a BCF student. Guests who were interested in the financial resources available to college students were invited to the financial aid seminar led by the Business Affairs and Financial Aid Offices. Detailed information was provided on each of the twenty-three degree options to prospective students.

After the classroom visits were completed, guests were invited to the R.G. Lee Chapel for a time of praise and worship led by the Music and Worship Division. During this time, the Women’s Ensemble, College Singers, Male Chorale, College Choir, and Orchestra were able to showcase their musical talents before BCF President Thomas A. Kinchen shared a message about what God is doing in and through the college. Kinchen encouraged students to be obedient to the call that God has placed upon their lives and to consider BCF as the educational institution to equip and prepare them for their future.

Following the chapel service, guests enjoyed a pleasant time of food and fellowship as they listened to the delightful sounds of the BCF Jazz Band led by Professor Ron Branning. After lunch, BCF Resident Directors (RD’s) escorted prospective students through the different dormitory/housing facilities on campus while the rest of the staff prepared for the students versus faculty basketball game.

Current BCF students were able to join in the Preview Day festivities as they watched their peers take on some of their favorite professors in a challenge basketball game. The students held strong to win against the tough faculty team. Before the closing prayer, four prospective students were awarded one of the five-hundred dollar scholarships to attend The Baptist College of Florida.

The next Preview Day will be held in October, but the Admissions Team stands ready to provide a tour of the campus for any interested student or parent by simply calling 850.263.3261 ext. 460 or accessing the website at www.baptistcollege.edu.
