A group from Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Enterprise enjoyed the Christmas musical and joined others as they strolled through Heritage Village during the Festival.

The excitement of Christmas is in the air and visible on the faces of the faculty, staff, and students at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville. The Music and Worship Division just presented the musical "A Singing Christmas Tree" twice, with standing room only for both performances in the BCF Wellness Center. Each performance featured the combined BCF College Choir and Orchestra while highlighting all of the elite ensembles and gifted vocalist.

True to form, the annual Christmas performance featured a wide variety of musical selections from complex instrumental pieces to classic Christmas favorites such as "Oh Holy Night," "0 Little Town of Bethlehem," and "Away in a Manger." The centerpiece of this year's performance was a thirty foot Christmas tree that came alive as voices filled the tree and filled the Wellness Center with the delightful sounds of Christmas. "The Singing Christmas Tree" performance gave focus and attention to the true meaning and miraculous significance of Christmas.

Immediately following the Friday morning performance, campus visitors were invited to continue the warm Christmas ambiance by participating in the annual Holiday Heritage Festival which began at 11 :00 a.m. (CST) in charming Heritage Village. With over 600 people in attendance, the Heritage Festival was a measurable success. Visitors had the opportunity to purchase items from several craft vendors, as well as enjoy the food items that were provided by the BCF Faculty and Staff Wives. With almost $2000 collected at the wives' booth, all of the proceeds go directly into the BCF scholarship fund benefitting current and future BCF students.

Throughout the picture perfect afternoon, the entirety of Heritage Village was filled with the lovely sounds of BCF's very own Mrs. Laura Sowell, as well as musical performances by The Faithful Servants, The Sheila Smith Trio, and Eagle Road. Guests, young and those more seasoned, enjoyed the historic village as elementary students gathered around BCF Teacher Education students learning more about life in the early years of local settlements. Through the teachable moments at the Sugar Cane Mill and skilled craftsmanship throughout the village, visitors enjoyed the fellowship, entertainment, food, and old fashion buggy rides reminiscent of ages past.
