The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville is excited to announce the Annual Missions Conference to be held October 10-12, featuring special guest speaker Gordon Fort, Senior Ambassador to the President of the International Mission Board (IMB). Every year, Missions Conference Coordinator and Chair of the Theology Division Richard Elligson invites a passionate mission speaker for the conference and arranges for worldwide mission organizations to share their stories and opportunities with the BCF family and conference attendees.

Gordon Fort and his wife Leigh Ann have a long history of missional living, as Fort was actually born on the mission field in Sanyati, Zimbabwe. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University, as well as a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry Degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Fort has served in various senior leadership positions with the IMB since February, 1985. Throughout his career as a missionary, Fort served in Bophuthatswana and Botswana, later serving as the Regional Leader of Southern Africa, until he resigned his commission as a missionary in 2004 to join the IMB Home Office. As a member of the IMB Home Office, Fort has served as the Vice President for the Office of Overseas Operations, Vice President of Global Strategy, Sr. Vice President of Prayer Mobilization and Training and finally, his current position as Senior Ambassador to the President of the IMB. Fort and his wife have four children; Sarah, Giles Harrison, Kathryn, and Elizabeth Ann.

This year, over twenty-five different mission agencies and representatives will be available in the BCF Wellness Center to share information on their organization, future opportunities and to recruit for upcoming mission projects. BCF continues to have record numbers involved in missions during the breaks and throughout the summer, with many of those opportunities discovered during the Annual Missions Conference

Make plans to attend the Annual Missions Conference at BCF on October 10-12, to meet with missionaries from around the world and see where the Lord may be leading you or your church to serve! Worship services featuring Fort will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the R. G. Lee Chapel.
