Members of the guitar ensemble showcase their musical skills.

On Thursday, April 21, students in the elite guitar studio of The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville will showcase their instrumental talents during their spring recital in the R.G. Lee Chapel at 7:00 p.m. (CST). This exciting musical event will feature both ensemble performances as well as solo and duet pieces. Under the leadership of Guitar Professor Jonathan Erp, the students have been diligently preparing for the evening concert.

The compositions for the recital will be diverse in nature according to Erp, with selections ranging from bluegrass duets of familiar hymns by Micah Moore and Abigail Grier to Eric Worthington’s classical guitar performance of The Sonata in A by Domenico Scarlatti. Other performers include Joey Shivers playing the jazz standard “Autumn Leaves,” Leah Alligood performing the “Pavane” by Gabriel Faure, and Dustin Meadows performing “French Lullaby” by David Brandon. The annual guitar recital which is always well received will be free and open to the public.
