BCF student Hunter Higgins performs Aria by Eugene Bozza on the Alto Saxophone during the Honors Recital held at The Baptist College of Florida.

On February 25, the Music and Worship Division of The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville held their biannual Honors Recital in the R.G. Lee Chapel. The Honors Recital is a time for upper-level music and worship students to perform difficult and complex pieces of music highlighting skill level achievement. According to the Chair of the Music and Worship Division Bill Davis, the Honors Recital showcases those students who are setting the bar for students to come.

An exceptional night of talent, this year’s performers featured Lauren Walls playing Sonata by Francis Poulenc on Clarinet, Nikki Keppel singing soprano for Sonntag by Johannes Brahms, Mary Baucum playing Sonata in E by Franz Joseph Haydn on the piano, Leah Alligood played My Shepherd Will Supply My Need by Isaac Watts on the guitar to the tune of Resignation from Southern Harmony arranged by Leah Alligood, Hunter Higgins played Aria by Eugene Bozza on the Alto Saxophone, Abigail Wiggins played Reverie by Claude Debussy on the piano, Jake Beaupre performed hymn favorite Were You There? arranged by H.T. Burleigh, Joey Shivers played Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel on the guitar, Andrew King performed Allegro from Concerto no. 3 in E flat major on the French Horn, Josh Roney sang Baritone performing La Donna ‘e Mobile, and the Guitar Ensemble, made up of four BCF students: Leah Alligood, Dustin Meadows, Joey Shivers, and Eric Worthington, played Joropo by Andrew Forrest.
