The cast list for "Peter Pan."

On May 10, the English program at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville will present the theatrical production of J.M. Barrie’s “Peter Pan.” Directing this year’s production will be BCF Junior Corban Stone. “Peter Pan” will star Abigail Wiggins in the title role alongside Hannah Shaffett as Wendy and Greg Pruitt as the infamous Captain Hook.

The rest of the cast includes: Jessie Wiggins (Nana), Greta Reiter (Michael), Amanda Carnley (Mrs. Darling), Nathan Shaffett (John), Brad Price (Mr. Darling), Melody Barney (Liza), Charity Hayes (Tinker Bell), Kristen Wannamaker (Slightly), Rebeka Brown (Tootles), Hannah Barber (Nibs), Michelle Clamser (Curly), Al Johnson (First Twin), Leah Johnson (Second Twin), Erik Shores (Cecco), Dylan DeMara (Bill Jukes), Michael Harper (Cookson), Michael Mahoney (Gentleman Starkey), Anna Batton (Skylights), Sadie Franklin (Noodler), Erick Barroso (Mullins), Prof. David Grier (Smee), Emily Ainlay (Tiger Lily), Beau Kennedy (Panther), and Hannah VanLandingham (Crocodile). In addition to the current cast, mermaids, fairies, and pirates without lines will be cast at a later date as well as the casting of understudies for some of the major roles.

“Peter Pan” will feature both veteran thespians and several student actors that consider themselves rookies. Many of the cast members have been involved in previous productions held at BCF. Jessie Wiggins, Hannah Shaffett, Melody Barney, Charity Hayes, and Corban Stone were all involved in last year’s BCF production of “The Importance of Being Earnest.” BCF Residential Director Greg Pruitt, who will be playing the role of Captain Hook, stated “This gives me an opportunity to stretch myself and grow in an area that I wouldn’t have been comfortable in before.”

According to cast members, there will be some specific “aerial” challenges presented in the production with the flight scenes, as well as the extensive set creation for multiple action portions. Admission is free and open to the general public on May 10, at 7:00 p.m. (CST) in the BCF Wellness Center.
